SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — One person was killed Friday morning after a pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer in Scott County.
Police responded at roughly 5:21 a.m. to the 5400 block of Leestown Road where the crash occurred.
After a preliminary investigation, police said it appeared the driver of the pickup truck was heading east on Leestown Road and crossed the center line, hitting the tractor-trailer head-on.
Police said at this time it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol was a factor.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he later died. His identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured.
