Coroner identifies pedestrian killed after being hit by vehicle in Woodford County

UPDATE: Feb. 9 at 1:55 p.m.

The Woodford County Coroner's Office has identified the pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Monday morning on East Leestown Road.

According to the coroner's office, 93-year-old David Phillips Jr was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner's office says no other information is available as the incident is under investigation.

Versailles Police Department Chief Rob Young confirmed to LEX 18 that a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle between Coach Station and Moore's Mill in Midway.

Young added that the victim was found at around 8:40 a.m. Monday morning.
