More information has been released regarding Thursday's plane crash in Mayfield.
According to Sheriff Jon Hayden, initial reports indicate that the aircraft had landed at Mayfield Airport, but was unable to come to a stop at the end of the runway.
The aircraft then continued through a grassy area and across KY 58, coming to a stop in a residential structure.
The home was occupied, but the resident and the pilot reported no injuries.
"Local and state emergency management agencies were contacted as well as the FAA and NTSB," Hayden said in a release. "The scene has been secured awaiting their arrival for the investigation.

A plane crashed into a house on the south side of KY 58 east after running off the runway of the Mayfield Airport on Thursday, according to the Graves County Sheriff's Office.
The office says that numerous first responders are on the scene, but no injuries have been reported.
The sheriff's office says that KY 58 between KY 131 and Byrd Road will be shut down for "an unknown amount of time."
