LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department has arrested a man suspected of being involved with two different shootings earlier this summer.

Officers arrested 26 year-old Santrice Bybee on Friday.

Police say Bybee shot two men on Pennebacker Road on May 28, and that the incident was narcotics-related.

Then on July 4th, police say Bybee and other people were involved in a shooting that ended with nearly 50 gunshots in the Fayette Mall parking lot.

LPD says some shots hit a car that had a woman and child inside. Officers are still looking for others who fired gunshots that day.

In a different incident, Bybee is accused of attacking a woman he had been in a relationship with. He is charged with strangulation in that case.

Bybee faces charges of assault, wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and trafficking in controlled substances.
