LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man has been arrested after two women reported he tried to abduct them, police say.

The women told police they were walking home from a bar district, when a car pulled up next to them. A man got out and tried to force them into the car.

When they resisted, the women said the man pulled a gun and told them he would kill them if they didn't get in the car. As the man tried to force one of the women into the vehicle, police report some fraternity members saw what was happening and intervened. That allowed the women to escape and the man fled.

The fraternity members got the car's license plate and police used that information to contact the owner, 26-year-old Johnathan Bosley. Bosley was arrested and charged with assault, kidnapping and wanton endangerment.
