LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police are investigating outside of a Lexington Waffle House after shots were fired.
It happened at the location on Winchester Road, not far from East New Circle Road. Police were called to the scene around 3:15 a.m. Friday.
Police say a fight broke out, and shots were fired. A vehicle was hit by the gunfire and officers found several other shell casings in the parking lot.
Around the same time, Police say two people, only described as female, showed up at a hospital saying they had been hit by a vehicle. Officers tell LEX 18 news that this may have happened in the same area and could be connected. Both victims have non-life-threatening injuries.
It's unclear how many people were involved, and police have no suspect information at this time.
