KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State police are working a missing person investigation, they say a 74-year-old Knox County man, Ronnie Bryant went missing late last night.

Police say Bryant was on his way to work at around 9 on February 6. He works as an overnight security guard in Whitley County. When he never showed up police were eventually notified.

Due to high water, KSP was unable to search the route he traveled immediately. Whitley County Emergency Management is aiding in the search but had to call it off for the time being.

Bryant is described as being 5'10", 240 pounds, and has hazel eyes, grey hair, and a mustache.

His family told police he has diabetes and a heart condition, "It's just a very sad situation, we know he is an elderly individual and has health issues, and that's why it's very important with the weather we are having today, we are urging the public if you see him or the vehicle he is operating please notify us," said KSP Trooper Shane Jacobs.

He was driving a 2012 silver Nissan Murano.
