LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 19) — Police said a man was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning on Lexington's north side.
Authorities said the man, who is in his early 20s, was shot just before 5 a.m. near the 400 block of Douglas Avenue.
Witnesses told police they saw a group of six or seven people fleeing the scene on foot toward Florence Avenue.
The injured man was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities said there were no other injuries or property damage.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
