WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two men, 39-year-old Louis Bickham and 32-year-old Dexter Chenault, were killed yesterday in a head-on crash in Woodford County.

A third passenger was in the vehicle with Bickham, and police say he was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Chenault was a former football player at Kentucky State University and went to Madison Central High School in Richmond. In the wake of his death, his former teammates are remembering him for the person he was on and off the field.

"I just thought we would all grow together. He was 32 and so am I. I always thought we would have time to catch up and spend time together," said former teammate Chris Exton.

His teammates described him as a prankster and a jokester, but at the end of the day, he always had his teammates back.

"He was very loving. He was very funny, outgoing, and strong, and very tough. He was just an awesome guy and it's just unreal he's gone," said Exton.

Exton says Chenault's greatest pride though was being a loving father, and his thoughts are with his family.
