RICHMOND, Ky. (WBON) — A Richmond teacher was terminated following an FBI investigation, school officials confirm.

According to WBON, Larry Foley, a teacher of Social Studies and Engineering at LaFontaine Preparatory School was terminated after the school's co-founder received a call from federal investigators.

Gus LaFontaine told WBON that the nature of the investigation was sealed. LaFontaine emphasized that the investigation does not involve students at the school.

Foley will be arraigned Jan. 7 at the Federal Court in Lexington. LaFontaine said that the agents he spoke with informed him that all the proceedings would be sealed from public record.
