FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX News) — Two women were killed in a three-vehicle collision in Floyd County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers say the crash happened just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 80 in the Martin community.
According to KSP, Kimberly Akers and Andrea Conn were killed in the crash.
State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates Akers was driving a 2017 Chevrolet SUV eastbound on Route 80 when her vehicle crossed the median and hit a 2024 Mazda SUV driven by Conn. The impact caused Conn's vehicle to hit a 2017 Ford van, KSP said.
KSP is continuing to investigate the crash.
