LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Believe it or not, Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away.

That means it is time to start gathering everything for the table, including the turkey.

Friday afternoon in Lexington, 75 turkeys will be delivered to the Lexington Fraternal Order of Firefighter steakhouse owner Jeff Ruby. Lexington police say they were not made aware of a donation and had no plans to schedule deliveries.

Deliveries will be made beginning at 1 p.m., per company officials.

Ruby is the owner and founder of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment and his steakhouses are located in Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville and in downtown Lexington.

He said his company has handed out hundreds of turkeys for years which is all in an effort to thank first responders.

500 turkeys will be delivered across all of Jeff Ruby's restaurants in Louisville, Cincinnati and Nashville.
