GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Scott County Schools went back to to in-person learning Wednesday. But with the snow Wednesday night, students got to stay home Thursday. It was a good old fashioned snow day.
For three Scott County high school students, snow days were an important part of growing up.
"As a little kid, I would always go out in the snow and this is Evan's first time actually having a snow day. And so he got to see what traditional snow days were when we were a kid," Daelynn Morrison said.
The teenagers, along with several other kids, experienced the thrill of a good old fashion snow day.
"It felt really good because I wanted to sled, play in the snow," Liam, a middle school student, said.
It was a chilly, but fun mental break.
