NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Nelson County sheriff's office have arrested a man who they allege left something incredibly self-identifying at a crime scene

Officials say that Robert Jewell broke into a house on Dec. 10. Authorities say Jewell made the identity easy, after dropping his cell phone on the way out the door.

Deputies let the public in on the search, by posting photos of Jewell's cell phone on Facebook.

"Robert Jewell we have your cell phone. You dropped it on your way out of the home you burglarized earlier today. We know who you are. We are looking for you. See you soon!" reads the post.

Jewell eventually turned himself in.
