LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The names of the two individuals who died in a crash in Laurel County have been identified.
Joie Lee, 82, and Georgia Butler, 78, were the two individuals that died in the crash.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff, a Kia passenger car pulled out from a business plaza parking lot in front of the path of a west bound Ford passenger car causing the two vehicles to collide. Both vehicles had only one occupant – the drivers in each. Both drivers received serious injuries and one was transported to St Joseph Hospital, London and the other to Corbin Health Care Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The accident occurred at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
