LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Six former Wildcats were honored and inducted into the UK Athletics Hall of Fame during a ceremony at Kroger Field Friday night.

Five were present at the ceremony: rifle Olympic Gold Medalist Henri Junghanel, women's basketball great and two-time SEC player of the Year A'dia Mathies, two former track and field stars who both went on to coach the SEC for several decades, Vic Nelson and Don Weber, and football MVP Andre' Woodson.

"It's a huge honor, I was flattered, just for the opportunity to be inducted into the 2019 Hall of Fame, it is a dream come true and I'm really excited to be here to celebrate with my friends and family," said Woodson.

The one inductee not present was Demarcus Cousins. His ex-girlfriend has filed a restraining order against him, claiming Cousins threatened her during an argument over the phone about whether their son would be able to attend his wedding. UK stood by their decision to induct Cousins into the Hall of Fame.

The inductees will be honored on the field Saturday as the Cats take on the Gators.
