FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentuckians who need help with their unemployment benefits can now make an appointment to receive in-person assistance in Frankfort.

Since March, there have been more than 900,000 unemployment claims in Kentucky.

State officials say 90% of them have been processed, but that still leaves roughly 90,000 people still waiting for benefits.

According to the Labor Cabinet, appointments will be available in Frankfort Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. They'll be meeting at the Mayo-Underwood Building at 500 Mero Street.

There will also be in-person help offered in Grayson and Owensboro by appointment only on Monday and Tuesday between 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. local time. They will be held on the Kentucky Community & Technical College System campus in each city.

To make an appointment, you can call 502-564-2900 or you can schedule one online.

Claimants need to bring two forms of ID.
