ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police are conducting a death investigation following a fire that occurred last night at a home in Estill County.
The Irvine Fire Department located human remains while extinguishing a residential fire on Covey Road. The remains have been transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
Family members believe the victim is 48-year-old Tracey Gaylord Owens.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
