LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington were looking for two suspect after the owner of a convenience store thwarted an armed robbery on the city's north east side.
Authorities said the robbery attempt happened about 11 p.m. Monday night at the Anniston Mini Mart on Anniston Drive.
Police said two men wearing masks entered the store, brandished handguns and demanded money.
The owner chased the men out of the store and at some point there was a struggle and a couple shots were fired.
Police said no one was injured. The suspects escaped in a gray or silver vehicle.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crime to call police.
