TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Rescue crews were deployed early this morning when someone was struggling in the Salt River.

The Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District posted on Facebook that they pulled the person to safety.

The department had warned boaters to avoid the river this weekend because there is a large number of trees, and water was being discharged from Taylorsville Lake.

After the swift water responders are urging everyone to remain safe, and stay off the river this weekend.
