LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A pedestrian received minor injuries early Wednesday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck.
Police said the man was in a crosswalk but did not have the right-of-way in the intersection of Main and Limestone streets when he was hit around 6 a.m.
Authorities said the pickup truck had the green light and the driver of the pickup didn't see the pedestrian in the street when he hit him at low speed.
The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Police said they did not expect to file any charges against the driver.
