Two killed in Boone County collision along I-275

BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two adults are dead after a collision along I-275.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office says at around 8:30 a.m. Monday, deputies were called out to westbound I-275 at the 13.4-mile marker and found two adults dead at the scene.

Deputies were initially dispatched to I-275 for a single-vehicle accident involving a Chevrolet Camaro. Several more collisions occurred at the same location involving a Jeep Wrangler, a Chevrolet Trailblazer and a Ford F-150.

The driver of the Camaro and the driver of the Jeep died at the scene. The driver of the Trailblazer was transported to the hospital with moderate, but non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the F-150 was not injured.

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation at this time. The Boone County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation.

The deceased driver of the Jeep Wrangler has been identified as Anna M. Kincart, 36, Petersburg, Kentucky. The deceased driver of the Chevrolet Camaro has been identified as Brandon L. Hicks, 24, Norwood, Ohio. Next of kin have been notified for both.
