(LEX 18) — More than a month in to the United Auto Workers' strike at General Motors across the country, members are deciding how to vote to the proposed tentative contract presented by GM.

UAW workers at the Corvette assembly plant in Bowling Green Kentucky voted "no" Wednesday on the proposed contract.

The contract from GM offers an $11,000 signing bonus. It also raises veteran workers pay 6% during the life of the contract.

But the contract would close several plants. One in Lordstown, Ohio; Warren, Michigan; and Baltimore, Maryland.

Another concern UAW workers expressed is skepticism about the contract's promise to bring temporary workers to full-time status after four years.

A final verdict is expected Friday evening after more than 50,000 UAW workers cast their vote.
