LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Utility customers have an opportunity to voice their concerns about proposed rate increases at a public meeting today.

The Public Service Commission is holding a meeting at 5 p.m. at BCTC on Newtown Pike in Lexington.

Kentucky Utilities is asking for an 11.5% increase. Louisville Gas and Electric wants 8.3% more for electric and 14% for natural gas.

If approved, customers could pay up to $18 more each month. The last rate increase was in 2020.
