LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A handgun was found on a bus belonging to the Community Action Council, the organization confirms.
An individual found the gun on or beneath the seat of the bus which was operated by the group. The bus was carrying a group of Fayette County Public School children to the YMCA on Old Rosebud Road.
The Community Action Council contacted law enforcement and has placed the bus driver on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The gun was not discharged and no injuries were reported. The CAC prohibits weapons of any kind on its premises or in its vehicles.
