PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Johnson County man says his social media accounts are buzzing with notifications that have nothing to do with him. People are confusing him for a well-known hip hop artist.
Travis Scott, or Jacques Webster, is a well-known hip hop artist, best known for his songs Goosebumps and Sicko Mode. He's also known for previously dating Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian's youngest sister.
"I got a tweet a while ago that said, that she was going on a date with Drake and somebody wanted to know what I thought about it," Travis Scott said.
The confusion between the two men seems very unlikely. But for fans on Twitter, it happens often because of their handles. "I had one person send me like a fan made album cover, which looks like it took a lot of time. And I hated that it was not seen by its intended audience. But he put a lot of work into it and he should be proud."
Travis says he enjoys the entertainment and so do his friends. "One person said he was going to start a trend saying that Travis Scott is going to be at the Apple Festival in Paintsville next year. Which I will be, but not the one that people think!"
Scott does play Bluegrass music though.
He told LEX 18 that he doesn't plan on changing his Twitter handle anytime soon.
