WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Wildside Winery is hosting its inaugural Harvest Market during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Owner Elisha Holt said she wanted to provide a space for vendors after a difficult year when many festivals and markets, where they would typically sell their products, were canceled.

"Lots of vendors that are here, this will be not only their first but probably their only event this year," Holt said. "It's really their only opportunity to come out somewhere and not only make money but [also] cover their expenses because as a vendor you still have like business licenses and insurance and things that you have to pay even if you didn't have opportunity, and so my hope is to give some people opportunities to just get in the black this year."

The Harvest Market features an abundance of local talent, including handmade arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, and live entertainers.

Everyone is required to wear a mask when socially distancing is not possible. Booths are also spaced at least 30 feet apart.

The event runs September 19-20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking is $10.
