HARRODSBURG, Ky. (LEX 1 — A Mercer County girl who has been battling cancer had a wish come true this weekend when a Kentucky country music singer paid her a visit.
Earlier this year in May, 6-year-old PaisLeigh was diagnosed with sarcoma with a tumor in her throat.
"She just finished her last round of chemo a couple weeks ago and now she's got to do 45 days of radiation staring next week. But she's been doing pretty good," Jennifer Reardon, PaisLeigh's mother said.
Through the treatment, PaisLeigh never lost her smile or positive attitude. During her tough battle, she came up with a wish list. One of the wishes was meeting Kentucky country music singer Dillon Carmichael. Yesterday, that wish came true.
"Seeing a smile on her face, that's all I wanted," Reardon said.
