Woman accused in 2011 murder pleads guilty to lesser charges

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A woman accused in a 2011 murder case in Montgomery County pleaded guilty Thursday to lesser charges.

According to court documents, Natasha Martin pleaded guilty to charges of facilitation of murder and complicity to commit robbery second degree in the death of Paul Brewer.

Martin was one of three people initially charged in the death. Murder charges were dropped against the other two defendants.

Martin pleaded guilty to facilitation, a significantly lesser charge than murder. Facilitation of murder carries a sentence of 1-5 years and complicity to robbery carries a sentence of 5-10 years.

The recommendation of the plea agreement urges a total of 15 years. Martin will be sentenced in February, 2020.
