Lexington police seek information on Limestone shooting that injured woman in May

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A woman is recovering after being shot in downtown Lexington early Sunday morning, according to the Lexington Police Department.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on East High Street and South Limestone, police say.

Police said a woman was found after being shot and transported to the hospital. She is expected to recover.

Authorities have not released any information about a potential suspect.

On Aug. 13, Lexington police reported that detectives are still seeking information in the case. Police advised that anonymous tips can be submitted through the Crime Stoppers tipline. In addition, anyone with information was asked to call 859-253-2020 or online here.
