LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)- A World War II veteran's art is currently being displayed in Louisville after he fell in love with art all over again at the age of 87.

WAVE 3 News reports that Robert Enders' art is being displayed at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center.

Enders told the Louisville news station that he loved drawing as a child but that he stopped for decades. At the age of 87, he put the pencil to paper once more to complete a set of sketches.

Enders draws celebrities, religious and historical figures. He told WAVE 3 that he starts drawing as soon as he wakes up.

“I will wake up in the middle of the night, turn the light on, put my feet on the floor, get my drawing stuff out and draw,” Enders said. “And then all of sudden say, ‘What have I been doing? I’ve been awake for an hour and a half, go back to bed!’”
