Lexington man dies from injuries sustained in January shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington man who was shot last month near Meadowbrook Park has died from his injuries, the Fayette County coroner said Thursday.

Police responded at about 10:24 p.m. on Jan. 25 to the 300-block of Harvard Drive to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they found 20-year-old Kobe Persley with multiple gunshot wounds.

Persley was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he died at 5:24 a.m. Thursday.
