LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Just before midnight Tuesday, Lexington police dispatched to New Circle Road and Fontaine Road where there were reports of people in two or three cars exchanging gunfire.
Once on the scene, police found a car with multiple bullet holes and flat tires near New Circle Road and Woodhill Drive.
Officers were also out on the scene of another shots fired call in the Woodhill Shopping Plaza outside of Auto Zone.
On that scene, police say they found shell casings but not any victims.
Police said there are not any suspects in these cases but said witnesses said they saw people running.
Lexington Police opened an investigation into both incidents and will work to determine if other reported shots fired calls around the same time are related to these incidents.
