MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A suspect is in custody after a body was discovered near the Bright Leaf golf course in Mercer County on Wednesday.
Police said a man was walking his dog at about 4:45 a.m. when he found the body and called 911.
Gerald Calhoun was arrested within just a few hours, police said. He is charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
Calhoun is being held at the Boyle County Detention Center.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
