LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — Update 9/07/26: A Lexington man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured two people Friday on Hudson Avenue.
Matthew Adams, 58, is charged with second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and first-degree criminal mischief.
According to an arrest citation, Adams intentionally fired a handgun into the window of a truck occupied by three people. The citation lists the shooting location as an address on Hudson Avenue.
Police previously said two people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the shooting.
The citation alleges Adams caused physical injury to one of the victims and later attempted to conceal the location of the firearm used in the incident.
Adams was arrested and lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
He is scheduled to appear in Fayette District Court for an arraignment hearing at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Two people are recovering at a local hospital following an early morning shooting.
According to Lexington police, officers responded to the 1000 Block of Hudson Avenue at around 3:45 a.m. on Friday.
Police were notified of one victim arriving at a local hospital at around 3:55 a.m. A second victim was found and taken to the hospital when police responded to the scene.
Both victims are being treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, police said.
There is no suspect information at this time.
The Lexington Police Department is continuing to investigate the shooting.
