Vigil for Lexington homicide victim, John Harris, set for Sunday night

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A vigil for a Lexington homicide victim has been set for Sunday night.

According to Lexington Police, officers found 28-year-old John Harris in a car that crashed in a parking lot along Richmond Road. Police reported that he had been shot and he died at the scene.

The Fayette County coroner ruled his cause of death as a homicide. However, the manner of death is "pending investigation".

LEX18 received an email Sunday from vigil organizer, Durkio Ricch, who said the vigil will be held at 8 p.m. at 3380 Richmond Road, near where Harris was killed.

The public is invited to attend.
