LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — 62-year-old Ava Creech's body was found inside in an apartment last week, and authorities are now investigating her death as a homicide.
Police discovered her body after they were called to an apartment on Victoria Way on Friday, October 2. The victim had been deceased for some time and it took several days for the Fayette County Coroner’s Office to positively identify her. Creech's death was determined to be a homicide.
Lexington Police are still investigating the case and believe the victim may have known her attacker.
