FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Franklin County Coroner's Office reported that authorities are investigating after a man's body was recovered in a small lagoon at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
The coroner positively identified the body found at the Farmdale Sanitation District on Peachtree Lane as 50-year-old Dwayne Chadwell from Frankfort. Officials added that a cause of death is unknown at this time.
Officials noted that an autopsy was conducted on Aug. 5 and the investigation is ongoing.
An obituary on Harrod Brothers Funeral Home's website detailed that Chadwell worked as a machine operator at Summit Polymers and that he loved gardening and his dog.
The obituary read that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Owen County Friends of Animals, Inc. or Access Soup Kitchen.
