LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Fayette County Public Schools have announced that they will cancel all after-school activities and practices on Monday, Nov. 4 due to the Presidential visit and the extreme traffic disruptions that will cause.

FCPS officials have been working with the Lexington Police Department in anticipation of the potential effect the President Trump's visit to Lexington will have on traffic around the city during dismissal times.

After-school care programs operated at schools will remain open and be flexible with families delayed by traffic issues.

The Promise Academies at Harrison and William Wells Brown elementary schools will follow their Wednesday schedule and dismiss at 2:35 p.m.

Fayette County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 for election day.
