Amy McGrath will not be attending Monday’s Kentucky Farm Bureau U.S. Senate Candidate Forum.
Kentucky Farm Burau said in a release issued Tuesday that the Kentucky Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate declined the invitation.
"As the voice of agriculture across the state, Kentucky Farm Bureau believes it is important that our members hear directly from the candidates,” Kentucky Farm Bureau President Mark Haney said. “We are disappointed that Ms. McGrath has chosen not to participate in this forum that is traditionally recognized by candidates on both sides of the aisle as an opportunity to discuss policy ideas for this important industry.”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has accepted the invitation and will participate in the event.
