LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — No one is hurt after a Fayette County Public Schools bus collided with another vehicle.
According to police, the crash happened shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Robertson Street, and students were on board the bus at the time. An official with Fayette County Public Schools says the bus was heading to Harrison Elementary when the bus clipped a vehicle with its bumper.
The bumper of the bus struck the parked vehicle owned by councilmember Tayna Fogle, officials say. She was not in the vehicle at the time.
"FCPS has been made aware that 12 students were on board the school bus this morning heading to Harrison Elementary," said Fayette County Public Schools in a statement. "None of the people on board the bus were injured. Supervisors in the FCPS Transportation Department will review the video from the bus and conduct remedial training with the driver, as needed."
An officer on the scene reported that the collision was "very minor," and no charges are expected.
