Feds offer reward for explosives stolen from Kentucky construction site

MORGAN COUNTY, KY. (LEX 18) — A federal agency is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone that can help them with information about the theft of explosives.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Louisville Field Division has requested the assistance from the public for information regarding an explosives theft.

According to ATF, sometime between Friday and Monday a person, or persons, broke into an explosive magazines on a construction site. Investigators say at this time, they're not going to release specific information on the explosives.

"Maybe someone saw something in rural Morgan County over the weekend that seemed unusual in that area. You know, that they could give to us, that would give us a lead," said ATF agent Lissa Jordan in a phone interview with LEX 18's Jacqueline Nie.
