LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man who allegedly walked away from a Lexington halfway house, with little more than a month remaining on his sentence, could face another five years in prison.

Ricky Jackson reportedly escaped custody on Oct. 14, 2019.

He was originally scheduled to be released Nov. 18, after serving a sentence for a federal weapons charge.

But now, Jackson has been faced with a new charge of escape from federal custody.

Jackson has been scheduled to go on trial in January 2020.
