OWINGSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — The fifth and final child that was missing following a horse and buggy accident in Bath Co. on Wednesday has been located and pronounced dead, according to a press release from the Kentucky State Police.

The child was found at approximately 11:22am on Saturday and was pronounced dead by Bath Co. Coroner, Andrew Owens. The family was notified and the incident remains under investigation.

The child had been in a buggy with their family Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. when they were swept away by water.

There were five children and one adult aboard the buggy when it overturned and all of them were swept into the water. Officials say they were attempting to cross a low water bridge in the area of Adams Road.
