LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, who represent the Fayette County Detention Center, issued a vote of no confidence in the jail and cited issues with management.

The Executive Board of Lodge 83 specifically targeted Lexington's director and assistant director of community corrections for the working conditions in the jail.

They claimed that the staffing shortage has led to unsafe working conditions.

The Lodge said 22 employees, about 10 percent of the workforce, have left the jail in 10 weeks.
