PADUCAH, Ky. (WPSD/LEX 18) — According to WPSD, the former cheer coach at Paducah Tilghman High School has resigned.

Wade put in his resignation on Wednesday morning, WPSD reported.

The resignation came after an administrative meeting with the school superintendent, Don Shively.

According to WPSD, Wade's resignation went into effect immediately.

Wade is now out of jail on a $1,000 bond.

David Wade, 43, has been accused of sending a sexually explicit video to a group of cheerleaders, then trying to cover it up.

Wade admitted to sending the video, but said it was an accident.

Wade will be back in court next week.

The Paducah Public Schools superintendent said they are actively working with police.

Wade will remain on administrative leave until the investigation is complete.
