(LEX 18) — The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said they have seen a surge in THC-laced vapes, similar to the stash found with a juvenile this week in Anderson County.

Officials posted on Facebook that they have seized over 600 marijuana vape cartridges in Franklin County in the recent months.

As part of the post, they said that the vapes are marketed with names like "Wedding Cake" and "Mario Carts," with flavors to disguise the marijuana smell.

Deputies said in just one Franklin County Middle School alone, they have seized 23 vape cartridges.

In addition, they want to warn parents that some of the vape cartridges have over 90 percent THC content.
