LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Kentucky dog rescue found a creative way of finding their puppies a forever home.
Kentucky Great Dane Rescue held a yoga class at Water + Oak in Lexington Saturday, featuring 11 Great Dane mix puppies.
"I thought it was a great experience. It added some extra distractions that were pleasant and relaxing,” said Katheryn Fister.
While it was a fun way to get fit, the main goal of the event was to find the dogs a home.
"We have seven still available,” said Shannon Denson, President of Kentucky Great Dane Rescue. “They're just so perfect. They really need homes and this is an opportunity for them to be seen."
The rescue held a similar event before, although that one had adult Great Danes. Along with adoption interests, the events bring in help for the organization.
"I've actually been able to find a few volunteers and even a few fosters from events like this also, which we always need,” said Denson.
