LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A horse that was shot in the head last week has died.
Last Monday, 'Lucky Penny' was found with a bloody face at a farm off Tates Creek Road.
Lucky Penny was taken to Hagyard Equine Medical Institute for treatment. There, Lucky Penny was forced to require tube feeding. After her health deteriorated, the owners decided to euthanize her.
Officers are still searching for the person responsible for the shooting.
