LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — As of 9:52 p.m., the Laurel County Fire Department reports that I-75 South is back open.
Around 6 p.m. the Fire Department shared that I-75S was completely shut down from the 47 mile-marker also known as the Livingston exit.
"Snow and icy road conditions have caused a major traffic backup, which currently extends well beyond the 49mm."
The department advises people to avoid the area.
